Personal Evaluation Life Long Learning, Lenardo da Vinci Partnership, Project: 2009-1-LI1-LEO04-00038-5, “e-European Management and Education Cooperation”
My expectation was fewer duties and less workload than we had at the beginning of the e-Emec Project. Too much workload decreased the number of participants and thus hampered the desire to achieve our purpose. We were 6 participants when we applied the project; but then we had to work as 3 participants instead of 6. Personally I do not complain about the workload. I am happy. Nonetheless, we achieved a lot of our aims. Our partnership have performed very well.
The ones who did better than the others were within their responsibilities. We have respected each other all the time. I knew Mr. Dincer before the project partnership. He is a very polite and reasonable person. I did not know Mr. Sommerauer before the project partnership, but our coordination has been very good. He is a perfect coordinator. Whenever we needed to prepare or organize something, he did it on time and very well. Besides the work, he tried to understand Turkish culture and respected it. Both partners were very helpful and hospitable at the social part of our relationship. I and all university staff who visited Austria and Liechtenstein were very happy. Our visits were effective, useful and joyful. The visiting programs added our special needs, such as the university visits.
I had some support and difficulties during the project work. The staff of Turkish national agency were polite and helpful. Okan University’s Rectors and vice Rectors supported my work deeply during the project. My project assistant was very helpful. All administrators, official and technical staff whom I worked with were also very helpful. This support was important to cope with some difficulties due to inexperienced staff and participants in the EU project.
Besides some problems and limitations, we have had useful outcomes as well. The university students and staff now have an international project experience. We would see that it is possible to do such a program for other target groups and also in other fields, by this project. I want to thank deeply to my project partners, my project assistant, Okan University’s Rectors and vice Rectors, and all the other administrators, official and technical staff whom I worked with.
